5. How do you apply a DTF transfer?

To apply a DTF transfer:

1. Preheat your heat press to 300-325°F (depending on fabric).

2. Place the garment on the heat press.

3. Position the DTF transfer, printed side down.

4. Press with medium to firm pressure for 10-15 seconds.

5. Let it cool before peeling (hot, warm, or cold peel depends on the film type).

6. Repress for 5-10 seconds with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet for extra durability.

6. How long do DTF transfers last?

DTF prints are highly durable, lasting 50+ washes without cracking or fading when applied and cared for properly.

7. How do you wash garments with DTF transfers?

• Turn the garment inside out before washing.

• Use cold water on a gentle cycle.

• Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.

• Hang dry or use low heat in the dryer.

8. Can DTF transfers be layered?

No, DTF transfers are printed as a single, full-color design—no need for layering like HTV.

9. Can I print my own DTF transfers at home?

Yes, but it requires specialized equipment, including:

• A DTF printer

• DTF inks (CMYK + White)

• PET transfer film

• DTF powder adhesive

• A curing oven or heat press
